How to Apply Driver’s License Using LTO Online Registration?

New applicants for Driver’s License and Driver’s Permit may apply now using the online system of the Land Transportation Office called the “Land Transportation Management System” (LTMS) Portal.

The LTO launches the online registration system in order to prevent people flocking to their offices amid COVID-19 crisis.

The LTMS Portal provides options for the applicant to select the transaction they want they wanted to avail from the online services and after accomplishing the required steps, the applicant must submit the necessary documents and pay their fees online as provided by the LTO.

  • Davao
  • Lipa
  • Baguio
  • Tagu
  • Naga
  • General Santos
  • Calapan
  • Ormoc
  • Roxas
  • Laoag
  • Malaybalay
  • Pagadian
  • Ever Gotesco Dlro
  • Muntinlupa

According to the LTO personnel, the agency is doing best to serve everyone using their online registration system. The LTO also revealed that there are additional areas to be included from the list above to be opened for online transaction of driver license.

Online vehicle registration using the same portal will soon to be offered to those who wish to use the online system. It is expected to open on September 2020.

The online application of driver’s license is a great help to reduce the risk of their clients and workers amid the COVID crisis.

The agency is also seeking courier services to facilitate the delivery of driver’s license and vehicle plates for the clients using the online system.

“Iwasan na natin yung transaksyon kung saan dadagsa yung tao and magkakaroon tayo ng problema sa pag-implement ng sinasabing social distancing. Medyo nagreduce din kami ng tao dun sa pinaka-windows namin. Kung above 59 (years old), work from home na. Ang mine-maintain namin a little more than 50 percent,” LTO chief Edgar Galvante said Tuesday.

“Kung magwo-walk in ka, ang dami mo pang dadaanan eh. Pag nag-online ka, na-set na yung appointment mo, at nakapagbayad ka na online. Pagpunta mo sa LTO, magba-biometrics ka lang, picture, then release na yung iyong lisensya. So na-shorten mo yung process,” LTO management information division chief Rector Antiga added.

The LTO also clarifies that they’re still accepting walk-in applicants.
