Kai Sotto, son of the former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Ervin Sotto, has finally announced that he will be joining the NBA G League.

NBA G League is a minor league basketball organization of the NBA or National Basketball Association. He will be joining the American top-high-school basketball prospects Jalen Green, Daishen Nix, and Isaiah Todd in a select team.

Signing up for the NBA G League is his way of achieving his dream, to be able play on the professional  league of the NBA. 

Kai Sotto represented the Ateneo de Manila High School Blue Eaglets, won the 2018 University Athletic Association of the Philippines Basketball Championship junior division.

He was also known as the All-Star and MVP of the Jr. NBA Philippine program back in 2016. He is the first international player from Jr. NBA Philippines participant who signed for the NBA G League.
