Amy Perez Not In Favor Of The Opening Classes On August 24

Amy Perez, one of the competent celebrity moms, worries of what will come if ever the classes will surely start on August. Department of Education Secretary Leonor Briones announced that classes will begin on August 24.

Briones stated that the decision came up with the consultation of 700,000 respondents and that it is only fitted to the law. Amy is one of the parents who is not in favor of this decision.

Since the pandemic is still on sight, it is not yet safe for the students to go to school. Amy’s eldest son, Kyle who will be a 6th grader this coming school year, and his youngest Seyah, who will be in 2nd grade.

“Until walang vaccine, it would be very hard and not safe pa talaga.

“If it means doing home schooling for the meantime, okay na muna ako dun.

“Mahirap para sa mga bata ang ma-expose sa COVID-19. I will not take that risk.” Amy explained. 

She also added that some schools will be having online classes, however not everyone has an access to technology.

“Sobrang nakakalungkot, but I think kahit sinong nanay is challenged now to come up with other creative ideas para ma-educate ang kanilang mga anak.

“Para tayong babalik sa basic and simple way of teaching our kids.” She added.

“And it all begins at home.”

Recently, France began opening their schools and unfortunately 70 persons were already infected with the virus according to the NBC News. French Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer immediately closed the schools down again for the safety of the students even though they wore face masks and face shields inside their classrooms.
