BREAKING NEWS, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque confirms the extension of Bacolod City enhance community quarantine status extension to May 15, 2020.

According to Sunstar news, the confirmation comes from the latest interview of Roque via DYRL radio station, the petition of Bacolod City to extend ECQ is granted by the Pres. Duterte.

Supposedly Bacolod City will be under GCQ starting May 1, 2020, but the local government of Bacolod pleaded that the city is not yet ready to lower the quarantine status due to the fact that there is some SWAB test still pending and they want to ensure the safety of the people.

According to Councilor Baribar head of Exit Planning Team in Bacolod the city is half prepared for the mass exit of people in the city from their houses and work, and there will be a big possibility that the COVID-19 infection will immediately go high.

Mayor Bing Leonardia on his latest interview he quoted his point of view towards the upcoming status of Bacolod City after April 30, he stated that there are 3 things he considers, health, budget, and business, but Leonardia stressed his priority will be the health of the Bacolodnons.

Meanwhile, the views of the people is divided others are in favor to extend and some are opposing and calling for gcq to go to their work to earn a living.
