Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa to ABS-CBN Franchise Issue: “What is 11,000 compared to the whole Filipino nation? This is the reaction of Senator Bato Dela Rosa in connection with the possible unemployment of nearly 11,000 ABS-CBN employees in the event the company closes. In the interview with DZMM TeleRadyo, Senator Bato told them that “Na matagal na sinammantalahan ng isang companya kung talagang ma approve yan sa hearing. Na pinamsamantalahan ang sambayang Filipino.”

“If Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano has personal grievances against ABS-CBN or objections against the renewal of the network’s franchise, he can vote against the renewal but must allow members of the House to cast their respective conscience votes on the renewal,” Lagman said in a statement.

Bato dela Rosa also says “Sorry, I’m not joining VFA petition at SC.”

“I’m not supporting it. I’m sorry for my colleagues, I will not support that because kailangan pa ba natin ng interpretation ng Supreme Court kung mabasa natin sa Constitution, anong laman ng Constitution?”
