Recently the Department of Agriculture releases a public advisory to be aware of Mekeni foods products which is found out that their products is positive of ASF or African swine fever especially their longganisa and hodog.

This fever is an epidemic and deadly to agricultural hogs. The advisory has been release November 4, 2019, the test is conducted by Bureau of Animal Industry buy buying the product and that certain company and conduct series of test to come up into a conclusive that it is positive of the virus.

According to Eric Domingo out of 178 licensed processed meat manufacturers 63 of them had already been inspected and the place is also put in to consideration if it is clean or not for the safety of the consumers.

ASF virus is deadly only on hogs which causes great damage on the agricultural department in the country.
