Netizen Threatened by a “Death Threat Scam”

A post from the Facebook user became viral after his friend almost become a victim of the newest con today which is the death threat scam just recently.

On Tuesday, September 27, Peach Lopez, a netizen, shares in Facebook his friends experience after receiving many text messages from an unknown number telling his friend that the person behind the number is being hired to kill her.

In his post, Lopez tells that his friend call to him one day asking if he know somebody who could help her.  Lopez laughed at it thinking it was a joke from his friend being a funny person as she is.  He then noticed that his friend was seriously afraid.  She then told the whole story to Lopez.

Lopez, on the other hand figured it out that the death threats could be obviously an all-out scam, thus assuring her he would give his cousin’s number who has a friend from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Lopez also reveals that his friend almost pay the scammers but after a few questions, she finally believes Lopez claims was indeed a scam.  He advise her friend to report it to the nearest police station.
