Classes suspensions for Thursday, August 11, 2016 due to Typhoon “FERDIE” that has maintained its strength and is about to make landfall over Batanes Group of islands and affects some local government units (LGUs), Luzon Metro Manila and Visayas areas.
According to PAGASA, the estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 600 km diameter of the typhoon. The typhoon is expected to make landfall over Batanes between 11 pm tonight to 1 am tomorrow. PAGASA added that the typhoon ‘Ferdie’ is expected to exit on Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between 10 am to 12 pm tomorrow.
Residents in Northern Luzon are advised to take precautionary measures against impacts of very strong winds and heavy rainfall.
