Bacolod City, Philippines – Policeman from Police Regional Office 18 welcomes the Chief of the National Police Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa in Bacolod City last Thursday, August 25, 2016.

Dela Rosa celebrates the 115th anniversary of police service and installed the new regional director of PRO-18 held in Pavillon Hotel.  In a turn-over of command ceremony, Police Chief Superintend Renato “Rene” Gumban was officially assumed as the director of Police Regional Office (PRO) – Negros Island Region.

Gumban will take over Chief Superintendent Conrado Capa who will retire from the service effective August 19, 2016, ending a nine-month stint as PRO-18 director.

In the ceremony, Ronald dela Rosa was surrounded by drug users and pushers who surrendered to Bacolod City police stations thus urging them to show their anger on drug lords by burning their houses with gasoline.

In a press conference held at L’Fisher Hotel, dela Rosa said to all Negrenses that they can expect names of the politicians and policeman who are being linked to drugs in Negros Island region the next time Pres. Rodrigo Duterte announces them in public.

Dela Rosa gives a passing rate of 7 to the PRO-18 on the campaign against illegal drugs.
