President Rodrigo Duterte Confirm to Launch ‘911’ & ‘8888’ Government Hotline Nationwide in August 2016

Good News! Sec. Martin Andanar from the Presidential Communication Operation Office confirmed that the government will launch on August this following hotlines. The ‘8888’ hotline is serve to received peoples complaint while the ‘911’ hotline will be the new national emergency telephone number that  will replace the current 117 reaping criticism due to the slow response of the call center operators.

President Duterte announce earlier that the administration is setting up a complaint office, 24 hours, manned by 10 operators, covering the entire country. The number will be 8888. Filipino people can report on him anytime and there will be a manager who will redirect and complaint to the proper office.

Duterte added earlier, 24 hour hotline manned by officials of the Presidential Action Center (PACE) to be more responsive to public complaints. Duterte’s warning, should be real complaints hotline will transmit only responsible for him who will just stories will press for a particular government personnel.

According to Andanar, it become effective the 911 hotline in Davao City for the quick response of the police, fire and medical personnel.
