Opera Singer Laura Bretan gets a standing ovation and the first Golden Buzzer from Judge Mel B on America’s Got Talent Season 11 premiere episode on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. The 13-year-old opera singer earned praises and standing ovation from the audience with her moving performance of “Nessun Dorma”.

She also received coveted praise from Simon Cowell last Tuesday’s premiere. “That just happened. I have never heard anything like that in all the years I’ve been doing this show. Seriously,” said Cowell. “It was unbelievable. What made it even better is the fact that at you are such as sweet person. So humble. Not even aware of how amazing you are.”

“You are born with such a gift that is unbelievable,” said Hedi. According to Mel B, “You literally lit May hair stand up at the end. I’ll going to change your life right now.” The former Spice Girl said before slamming her hand down on the buzzer. “This has been a dream come true.”

Last October 22, 2015, it was announced that creator Simon Cowell would replace Howard Stern as a judge for season 11. Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel are still the judges, with Nick Cannon returning as host.
