Places in Metro Manila and Southern Tagalog Hit By Magnitude 5.4 Earthquake

As of the updated time of October 20, Monday evening a magnitude 5.4 earthquake had hit northeast of Looc, Occidental Mindoro according to the Philippines Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvocs).

They said that the current “quake was tectonic in origin,” consisting of 100 kilometers: depth focus. Good news was that NO expected incident, trouble nor damage had happen due to the earthquake. However, aftershocks could still follow.

Places felt the earthquake was listed according to it’s intensity:

Looc, Abra de Ilog, Paluan in Occidental Mindoro and Batangas City.

Muntinlupa, Pasay, Tagaytay, Mandaluyong, Makati, Parañaque and Calamba City; Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, as well as San Pedro and Canlubang Laguna; Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro; General Trias
and Bacoor Cavite.

Intensity III
Angeles, Calapan, Quezon, Mandaluyong, Taguig and Manila City; Talisay and Agoncillo Batangas; Malolos, Obando, and Bulacan Bulacan.

Pasig, Antipolo and Las Piñas City; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Plaridel and Marilao Bulacan; Pateros, Metro Manila; and in Lucban, Quezon.
