In August 6 at 2:45am, a man allegedly broke into a home through the back door on Staten Island and entered the 7-year-old girl’s room and allegedly ra*ed her.

The suspect who was identified by the NYPD as Daniel Nieto, 32, 5 feet 2 inches tall with black hair, was reportedly jailed for trespassing following the incident but was released before the cops were informed of the alleged r*pe.

The family allegedly caught the suspect in the girl’s bedroom and called the police but Nieto then fled the house. It was only the day after the incident that the cops determined that the girl had been r*ped.

The victim’s family confirmed that they did not know the suspect.
