Forevermore, a primetime teleserye topbilled by Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano already ended on May 2015 but it continues to gain recognition.

Xander (Enrique Gil) and Agnes (Liza Soberano) fell in love with each other in “La Presa”, a fictional town in the series which was taken on Pungayan, Mt. Sto. Tomas, Tuba, Benguet.

The use of the town for the location of the teleserye helped in boosting the tourism industry of the Philippines and according to Resolution Numbered 92, the City of Baguio acknowledges the whole production of Forevemore.

The resolution, signed by City Vice-Mayor Edison Bilog and Mayor Mauricio Domogan, states, “Due to the popularity of the said teleserye, tourists and visitors have been flocking to the City of Baguio to visit and get a glimpse of ‘La Presa’ which has become an instant tourist attraction for the City of Baguio and Tuba, Benguet.”

Although Forevermore is the first on-screen team up of Gil and Soberano it actually gained viewers registering its highest rating on national TV of 39.9% on its finale episode.

Due to the series’ success, it has been aired internationally in Cambodia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and in some parts of Africa.

Following the tandem’s success, Gil and Soberano starred in Just The Way You Are garnering P100 million in ticket sales and mostly gained positive reviews. With the success of their first movie the two were dubbed by some as the next John LLoyd-Bea.
