Kim Chiu will excel and will be on her highest level on what she admitted to be her most challenging role to be in Etiquette for Mistresses.

June 25, on the movie’s story conference, Kim explained her role as a mistress or as something that is “far from my comfort zone role. Sobra siyang iba. It’s really challenging kaya ako go for challenge.”

She shared that it would be her first time to take on such role like this since she is quite known playing cute and good girl roles just like what we’ve seen in Past Tense and Bride for Rent.

However, as we all know it was Kris Aquino who convinced Kim to join the cast after she was actually the first ones to be put for it and after reading the script.

“Nung nabasa ko, nagte-taping tayo nu’n ‘di ba (Kim)? Sabi ko, ‘Kimmy ikaw ‘to! This is you.’ Tapos sabi niya, ‘Ate ‘di ako sure.’ Sabi ko, ‘Kaya mo, ikaw ‘to’”” Kris said.

Kris added, “Kasi when you’re reading a script mapi-picture mo in your mind’s eye, kitang kita mo talaga.”

And as for the chinita Princess if there could be a thing she couldn’t  do in the film and in the movie is the very main part of it- to be a mistress.

“Sabi ko ‘Ate hindi ko kaya.’ Tapos kinausap ako ni Tita Malou [Santos] sabi ko ‘Tita Malou hindi ko kaya,'” Kim shares her earlier conversations with Kris and with the Star Cinema head.

After much brainstorm, Kim added that she finally had found answers and that is to accept the role wholeheartedly.

“Sabi ko sige kakayanin ko ngayong medyo 25 nako, I think pwede na. Tsaka sila ‘yung kasama ko, choosy ka pa ba?” introducing to her co-stars Kris, Iza Calzado, Claudine Barretto and Cheena.

“Hindi ko naman siya gagawin kung hindi magiging magandang example sa mga tao, parang magandang story,” she said.
