MMFF 2014 Latest Updates; Ranking & Gross Income Day 12 up to P1 Billion

The most successful edition of annual festival showcasing the very ever best Philippine movies in their official entries of the (MMFF) 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival. According to the latest updates, the box office income report of MMFF-Entry within 12 days in theaters nationwide. It was reach the P1 Billion remark.

According to MMDA, the organizers of the MMFF of 4oth edition of the festival has already earned P949 million nationwide as of Jan. 5, 2015 that was confirmed by MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino during he has interviewed with ABS-CBN.

Compared to last 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), eight (8) entries earned P936 million in the same period last year.

However, the MMDA did not clarify the exact income of eight MMFF entry movies, but they said that Vice Ganda’s “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin” remains the top earning entry and it was followed by Feng Shui, My Big Bosing and the romantic-comedy “English Only, Please.”

During the first week of the MMFF, the film of “English Only, Please” was not one of the leading highest gross movie. As of the announcement last Dec, 27, 2014, Actress Jenny Mercado & Derek Ramsy movie overtook Dingdong Dantes “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles” after winning the awards of best actor and best actress.
