Smart Gilas Pilipinas will face a new challenge on winning the 2014 Asian Games held at Incheon South Korea wherein there scheduled of games are already listed below. Gilas were under Bracket E they will certainly face India and Iran.

It is remembered that during the FIFA 2014 qualifying round Iran and Philippines had already met each other in the hardcourt fighting for the gold medal but unfortunately Gilas lost to Iran’s national team.

It is also a plus factor that the current naturalized player namely Andray Blatche was added on the team’s list to boost the confidence of the local Filipino athlete.

The named Fifa second most efficient player Jun Mar Fajardo will showcase his full capabilities as a back up for Blatche, wherein he contributes a lot to the team in the recently concluded FIFA World Cup 2014.

Also Japhet Aguilar and Gabe Norwood will add to the team offensive powers and will be expected to perform at their peak, together will the team shooting guards LA Tenorio, Jimmy Alapag and Jason Castro.

Paul Lee will do his part as the team penetrator on enemy defense.

According to Coach Chot Reyes the team has already learned a lot in the world stage and hopefully this experience will make them more hungry to improve in basketball and hopefully grab the gold medal.
