The world welterweight title bout of the Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao versus Chris Algieri is set on November 22, 2014 at Venetian Cotai Arena in Macau, China.

During the championship bout Pacquiao who has the record of 57-5-2 and 38 knockouts will defend his WBO welterweight title against the American contender Chris Algieri who has the record of 20 wins and 8 knockouts in his entire boxing career.

Early at this time, the two are getting busy of studying their individual fighting style. According to Buboy Fernandez, the long-time assistant trainer and friend of Manny Pacquiao, they have already analyzed the opponent’s fighting style inside the four-corner of the boxing ring using the video of his recent fight against Ruslan Provodnikov as reference of their study.

Fernandez said, Algieri is nearly as tall and of the same reach as Margarito, but the only difference is that Margarito counters when cornered in the ropes while Algieri does not.

However, Algieri also admitted that he is studying the fighting style of the Filipino champion by watching on video of Pacquio in his previous fights.
