Actress/host Valerie Concepcion is now a freshman student taking the course of Marketing in one of top University’s here in the Philippines. She wanted to return in school for a good role model of her 9-year-old daughter Fiona despite on a busy showbiz projects.
In a press conference of GMA’s newest launched afternoon teleserye “My BFF” on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, “Iniisip ko kasi si Fiona malaki na rin. I just want to be a model sa kanya. I want her to be proud of me na yung ‘Mom ko nakapag-aral.’ Since hindi naman na ako mag-asawa anytime soon, naisip ko na bakit nga ba hindi ako bumalik sa pag-aaral,” she said.
The GMA actress Valerie stopped going to school almost 9 years because of a busy showbiz projects and focus for her daughter Fiona. She decided to go back in school even though it was hard for her to altering studies and acting.
“Mahirap kasi ang tagal kong hindi nag-aral. After kong manganak kay Fiona, hindi na eh. So noong first semester ko, nag-aadjust pa ako. At least now, hindi na kasi second semester ko na,” she said. “Pinapakiusapan ko yung mga teachers na twice or thrice a week lang papasok. Or kapag hindi makaka-report, ipapauwi sa akin ang mga books tapos dapat masagutan ko. Kapag exams, kailangan talaga pumasok.” She added according to Yahoo news.
She is thankful for the help of the teachers and fellow classmates to adjust on college life. Valerie shared that her medical student-boyfriend encourage to pursue her studies.
My BFF will be starts on June 30, 2014, including her co-stars Mona Louise del Rey, Jillian Ward, Janno Gibbs and Manilyn Reynes. Valerie will be play again as Kontrabida of the newest afternoon teleserye “MY BFF” on Kapuso Channel.
