Veteran singer-performer Lani Misalucha was surrounded by a huge crowd coming from random commuters and passers-by at the Manila City Hall as she performs surprise mini-concert in “bangketa.”
Misalucha sang tracks from her comeback album “The Nightingale Returns” with the two songs entitled “Anak” and “Starting Over Again.” The two actual video were uploaded in YouTube by the producer Star Record for public viewing.

The 44-year-old Misalucha who is dubbed as “Asia’s Nightingale” was seen in a simple clothes who take pleasure while she is interacting with her audience, in which many of whom appeared starstruck with the veteran singer.
While she performed the songs, some of the her audiences had their phones to take pictures and documents the surprise bangketa concert while others give donations to the actual bangketa singers Mel and Flor, both are visually handicap.
Bangketa concert with Lani Misalucha was materialized for the purpose of a social experiment to make a music video for “Saan Darating ang Umaga,” another track of Misalucha’s newest album. During the experiment that becomes a surprise mini-concert, Misalucha went undercover as she is one of the “blind bangketa singers” with Mel and Flor who are the original performer in bangketa. Shortly after the experiment, Misalucha took off her shades and introduced herself then people begun to stop and watch her singing.
“Marami pong biglang tumayo doon at tumigil para makinig at manood sa pagtatanghal ko kanina,” Misalucha said in the earlier released video for “Saan Darating Ang Umaga.”
“I’ll always treasure this moment,” she added.
