Pinay Student Received Award for Community Service

Recently Cherry Bo Fernandez a pinay student received an award for community service.

fernandezThe New South Wales School Service Award is given to student especially nominated by their respected teachers for showing an outstanding performance in community service.

The pinay student is a graduate of Casula High School. There are 23 nominees for the said award and all of them come from different countries around the globe.  It is an honour for us Filipinos that our Kababayan received the prestigious award.

The said awarding ceremony was held at NSW Parliament House and NSW Governor Marie Bashir gives AUD 1,000 as cash prize and a certificate.

NSW Department of Education and Communities, is an organization that give  acknowledgement to those students who offer their time for participating in school activities and representing themselves for local work in school and in community.

During the awarding ceremonies the achievement of pinay student was enumerated starting from showing an act of leadership in school programs  like school reading also she is active in organizing athletic carnivals and doing charity works such as voluntary blood donations.

Also she organized relief operations which the victims of typhoon Yolanda are the benefactors.

Consul General Anne Jalando-on Louis also congratulates the pinay student and encourages to continue what she have started.

The Filipino people are proud for what Fernandez achieves, this is really a factor to show the world how generous and hardworking Filipinos are for the sake of charity works.
