Forbes: Henry Sy & Family Remains the Richest Clan in the Philippines

Henry Sy & Sibling’s still the richest family in the Philippines according to Forbes which recently release their 2014 Billionaire’s List.

HENRY SYThe net earnings of the family this year reach to $11.4 billion which is much lower compared to last year’s net income amounting to $13.2 billion. The family’s income apparently goes down up to 7% but still they are part of top 100 billionaire’s list.

“Henry Sy apparently merged his company assets under SM Prime Holding to create its net worth of properties amounting to $9.3 billion. November last year SM Land snatched $ 1.2 Billion which reclaimed some portion of land in Manila Area next to his SM Mall of Asia (MOA)” According to Forbes Magazine.

Even though the family exercises the means of merging and strategy to maintain stability in their investment but apparently it drops up to $ 1.8 Billion due to SM Holding dropped its market value of stocks up to 30% this 2014.

Forbes added “The dropped of stocks is due to investors sold their shares in a certain institution in a discounted price”.
