It’s common to the comedian host Vice Ganda to play a joke anytime during the “It’s Showtime” show, because that is how the show is meant to be, but the joke he made during the segment of the noontime show “I Am Pogay” Vice Ganda was jesting a joke with the connection to the mauling incident that involved “It’s Showtime” co-host Vhong Navarro who is now recuperating in the hospital due to the violent attacked on January 22, 2014 at the condo unit of Deniece Cornejo at Forbeswood Heights, Bonifacio Global City.

During the question and answer portion of the segment, one of the contestants of “I Am Pogay”, Limuel Dizon was asked by the host Vice Ganda how he can relate the “bird cage” to one’s life. The contestant answered then: “Ang hawla (bird cage) ay sumisimbolo for safety” answered the contestant.

“For safety! Naku, sabi ko na nga ba, Vhong dapat nagdala ka ng hawla,” commented the host Vice Ganda, and ran to the other side of the stage deeply laughing.

Co-hosts Karylle and Anne Curtis just smiled but left speechless as Vice Ganda continued to crack the jokes referring to the mauling incident of Vhong Navarro.

“Sabi niya kasi safety e! Kung naisip natin ‘yn e ‘di hindi napahamak ‘yung kaibigan naming…, “added Vice Ganda.
