Anti-Smoking Video Advertisement “Smoking Kid” Went Viral (Watch Video)

One of the most effective anti-smoking advertisements, the “Smoking Kid” which video went viral in social media today since it was published two years ago.

In the advertisement, two children appeared in the video approaching adults actually seen smoking and the children approaching them were asking to lights up their cigarette.

As seen in the video, every adult approached by the children refused to light up their cigarette as the children requested them to do so. In turn they even give advice to the children by saying don’t smoke because smoking is not good for children like you.

Most people knew the bad effect to one’s health being a smoker but many people did not stop smoking.

After the conversation, the children are seen giving brochure with the message written on it saying, “YOU WORRY ABOUT ME, BUT WHY NOT ABOUT YOURSELF?”

According to the feedback of this anti-smoking campaign, every adult received the brochure make a paused and threw away their cigarette but keep the brochure.

The Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) is an independent state agency of Thailand promoting well-being.

The ‘Smoking Kid” video campaign was release by the in June 2012 and was produced by PR firm Ogilvy Asia.
