Comedienne and film actress Ai-Ai delas Alas reveals her plans to run for a seat in Congress to serve the people in spite of the fact that there is no longer pork barrel in the representative districts.
In an interview with Anthony Taberna on ABS-CBN’s Thursday episode “Tapatan Ni Tunying” the 49-year-old Philippine Queen of Comedy shared her plans to fulfill her dreams of serving the Filipino people being a politician after her time in show-business will end.
“Huwag na muna habang busy pa ako sa showbiz. Hindi ko naman puwedeng pagserbisyuhan ang bayan ko nang hindi buo ang puso ko,” said the comedienne.
The Comedy Concert Queen noted that she cannot perform well in the call of duty if in case she won seat in congress and still busy for her showbiz career. Considering that she starred in two films this year and guest-starred in various television shows in ABS-CBN as one of the judges in “Pilipinas Got Talent” reality TV show season 4.
“Talagang half-half pa ngayon. Pero pag dumating tayo sa eighty-percent service, at twenty-percent show business, game na!” the actress added.
Ai-Ai delas Alas also shared the painful experiences in her love life referring to her failed marriage with businessman Jed Salang considering it the most hurtful compare her first marriage.
“Ang sakit kasi sandali lang. Alam mo ‘yung dream mo, naputol kasi hindi nagwork,” she said.
