Japan will donate AstraZeneca vaccines to the Philippines

The Ambassador of Japan in the Philippines announced on Tuesday that Japan will be donating doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to the country.

In the Twitter post of Ambassador of Japan in the Philippines, “Glad to be the bearer of good news today! Japan will donate AstraZeneca vaccines to the Philippines, and we’ll make sure to deliver them at the soonest possible time so no one gets left behind during this pandemic.”

Meanwhile, DOH recorded as of 4 PM, June 14, 2021, the Department of Health has recorded 6,426 additional cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, 7,145 were cured and 57 died.Of the total number of recorded cases in the country, 4.5% (59,096) were active cases, 93.8% (1,240,112) were cured, and 1.73% (22,845) died.

According to the latest report, all laboratories were operational on June 12, 2021 while there were 10 laboratories that failed to submit data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on data over the past 14 days, the contribution of these 10 labs was approximately 1.9% in all samples tested and 2.1% in all positive individuals.
