Kapamilya comedian Vice Ganda recently tweeted on Twitter, expressing his gratefulness towards those lawmakers who had shown their support to ABS-CBN. As we all know, ABS-CBN was taken down by the NTC or National Telecommunications Commission. Many Kapamilya stars and workers lost their jobs due to this issue.
Vice Ganda thanked those who offered a resolution for the ABS-CBN franchise to be renewed once again.
“Maraming salamat sa mga Konggresista na nagpahayag ng kanilang suporta sa ABS CBN, sa mga manggagawa nito at sa mga serbisyong naiibibigay nito sa bansa. Sigurado po akong ipinagmamalaki kayo ng mga distritong kinakatawan ninyo. Iboboto nila kayo ulit porshur!!!” Vice tweeted.
Those who supported the ABS-CBN franchise renewal were Vilma Santos, Sol Aragones, Joy Tambunting and Loren Legarda. These people have direct connection to the ABS-CBN network. Vilma Santos was an actress and had made several movies with Star Cinema. Sol Aragones and Joy Tambunting as a former reporters of ABS-CBN. Loren Legarda was a former news anchor of the network.
Josephine Ramirez-Sato, Rufus Rodriguez, Micaela Violago, Aurelio Gonzales, Arlene Brosas and Rosemarie Arenas, are the lawmakers who also supported ABS-CBN. Sandro Gonzales Lawrence Fortun, Edgar Sarmiento, Mark Go, Mike Defensor and Edcel Lagman, to add up to the list.
