Bacoleño film director Peque Gallaga died this morning at the Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod City at the age of 76. Veteran director Peque Gallaga passed on Thursday at 12:45 a.m. in a hospital in Bacolod City due to pneumonia. Gallaga was born on August 25, 1943, in Manila, the Philippines as Maurice Claudio Luis Ruiz de Luzuriaga Gallaga.
He is a director and writer, known for Magic Temple (1996), Oro, Plata, Mata (1982) and This Is How We Were Before, How Are You Doing Now? (1976). He also directed the films “Scorpio Nights,” “Unfaithful Wife” and “Shake, Rattle and Roll” films.
