VALLACAR TRANSIT (Ceres Liner) may resume it’s operation tentatively this May 4, 2020, in Bacolod if the city happens to be in general community quarantine this May 1, 2020 (Friday).

According to Jed Ceballos the spokesperson of Vallacar Transit, he stated that operations via Bacolod – Cebu, and Bacolod- Dumaguete will not be available due to restrictions of border crossing but other places not mentioned will continue.

But only 50 percent of passengers will be allowed due to the strict implementation of social distancing and if possible each passenger must wear a face mask.

This is a good news to workers outside Bacolod wherein they will have a mode of transportation to bring them to their workplace inside the city.

It is expected that the city will be general community quarantine this May 1, 2020, upon the recommendation of IATF, but recently city officials headed by Mayor Bing Leonardia issue a petition to the national government to extend the city enhance community quarantine status to continue up to May 15, 2020, but the petition has not yet approved.

In case that the petition will be void Bacolod City will be under general community quarantine this May 1, 2020, and rest assure the city is ready for this.
