DOH Health Secretary Duque confirms recently that there people contacted the RITM to conduct a private testing for COVID-19, those are some prominent people in coutry.

Duque qouted in his interview he revealed that the VIP made a direct request from the RITM to test their family against the virus.

He added “So I have no details of each one of them that had requested for testing, suffice it to say that indeed some of them had really fit in the initial criteria for testing”.

(Duque has no details of who requested the testing and urge those person is fit to the criteria to be tested).

DOH Sec. revealed there are 34 government officials undergone testing which all of them had a travel history outside the country.

Meanwhile prior to the arrival of 100,000 more testing kits from China, the health secretary ensures that the qualifications for testing will be more stricter and will be change.

The Department will be expected to receive more test kits from Singapore and South Korea which could be a great help for the fast detection of the virus.

Locally produced test kits also considers race against time and double their efforts to produce more with the help of the government and LGU volunteers.

Duque noted that the country will expect a rise of COVID-19 patients due to the upgrade of testing capacity of the country.
