Breaking news a magnitude 6.9 earthquake hits Davao Del Sur Sunday afternoon around 2pm.

According to Phivolcs around 2:11pm the city experienced tremors northwest of Padal town.

Additional information the tectonic origin has a depth of 30 kilometers.

The said earthquake is strong that I could destroy buildings built by light materials and people near the coastal area is advise to stay alert for possible tsunami treat.

As of now three powerful earthquakes with a scale of magnitude 6 devastated the region from October and leave at least 23 dead and a lot injured.

Phivolcs also reminded for possible aftershocks and must be alert all the time.
