In an interview with a Karen Davila ANC’s Headstart host, Alma Moreno who is a senatorial candidate under the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) led by Vice President Jejomar Binay, shared her point of view with the present laws and bills in the country. And she even discussed her platforms.

She first expressed that she was against the same s*x marriage. “No, parang ‘di natin matanggap naman na parehong magpapakasal. Yes [I think it’s a sin]. Sa’kin ah ‘yung magpapakasal pero ‘yung mag-ano okay lang pero ‘yung magpakasal parang hindi. Basta ‘yun ‘yung sakin, ang tingin ko,” she stated.

She also shared that she is supporting on anti-discrimination bill which is propose by Mar Roxas because it has a different kinds of discrimination around us. She even admitted that she, herself also suffering a discrimination but despite all of this she said that she was qualified for the said position because of her experience in legislation.

She’s been a counselor for 9 years, been a first lady and Philippine Councilors League for 9 years also which she said made her more qualified. When she was asked about her advocacy, she said that it would cater to the rights of a woman which is Magna Carta. Although it has been passed, there is still a lot which is not implemented.
