Lou Yanong has the opportunity to showcase her acting abilities as the female antagonist in the action-drama series Roja. Her character, Gwen, is a member of the criminal group headed by Emil Padua (Joel Torre), who takes over the made-up opulent island resort of La Playa Roja.
The 28-year-old actress began her career as a child model at the age of seven. She first entered the entertainment industry in 2019 as a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Otso. Lou, who is now exploring acting, talked about her feelings following the conclusion of the series’ taping in January.
I had a deep affection for Roja. In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, she said, “I learned so much from the show.”

Lou shared which of the show’s many action-packed scenes were her favorites to film.

Lou acknowledged that there were plenty of chances to bond with her co-stars while spending more time with them on the island where they had to perform lock-in filming. ” So many. But it would have to be when we have bonding because everyone’s there and it’s so funny because we don’t plan it. It’s so far from where everyone is and lahat ng mga taong pumupunta dun. It’s unplanned and everyone just starts to bring whatever they feel,” she continued.
Donny Pangilinan, Kyle Echarri, Janice de Belen, Lorna Tolentino, Joel Torre, and Raymond Bagatsing were among the ensemble cast’s fresh and seasoned talents. Lou disclosed which actor she would most miss working with on the set.
She admitted, “So many. Actually, all of them. If I had to choose one, it would be Ms. Janice. Siya yung hindi lang siya trabaho yung pagkakaibigan. When she sees you, she knows that you have problems and she asks the right questions. And ang nakakatawa is hindi pa rin niya alam na nakakatulong siya sa ‘yo.”
The Morena beauty revealed that she would adore the chance to play comedic and romantic roles in upcoming movies. For now, though, she is grateful to everyone who has helped their program Roja since it debuted late last year.
