As she celebrates Women’s Month in March, Kapamilya actress and producer Charo Santos offered her thoughts. She discussed how each experience matters and how all women should be treated with love on her Instagram account.

March has seen a number of events honoring and encouraging women, but there have also been incidents that have grabbed attention on social media, the most recent of which being the comment made by Congressman Bong Suntay of Quezon City regarding Kapamilya star Anne Curtis.

In honor of Women’s History Month, Charo made care to briefly remind everyone of the respect and kindness that every woman deserves.

The ABS-CBN Executive continued, “This is why a message as simple as “Bawal Bastos, Please” still matters. Respect should never be optional; it should be the standard.”

Women’s Month serves as a reminder to the Kapamilya actress of something greater than the titles they receive on a daily basis.

Charo hopes that society will continue to create safe spaces for women, where they are respected and given the confidence to “stand in their truth.”

She ended by saying, “To all women: your voice matters. Your dignity matters.”

Throughout her decades-long career in media, Santos has often spoken out on gender equality and women’s rights. From producing shows that highlight women’s stories to mentoring female talent, she has consistently used her platform to inspire and uplift others.

The event also showcased programs supporting women, including mentorship initiatives, financial literacy workshops, and campaigns against gender-based violence. Santos encouraged corporations and local communities to partner in these efforts, noting that real change happens when society works together.

As the country celebrates Women’s Month, a time to acknowledge accomplishments, consider ongoing challenges, and recommit to equality, Santos’ message strikes a chord. Her remarks serve as a reminder that everyone has a responsibility to respect, acknowledge, and empower women.
