Kyle Echarri receives his first Best Actor Award: “I am beyond honored for this recognition”

For his role in the hit series Pamilya Sagrado, Kapamilya singer and actor Kyle Echarri won his first acting award, achieving a significant milestone in his career. At the 21st Gawad Tanglaw Awards, he personally got the Best Actor award.

Kyle portrays Moises Sagrado, the biological son of Vice President Rafael Sagrado, played by Piolo Pascual.

The Kapamilya star thanked everyone who helped him win the esteemed prize in an Instagram post. A glimpse of him accepting the award on stage was shown.

He wrote, “Heart is full of gratitude. Thank you Gawad Tanglaw. my first ever Acting award and I am beyond honored for this recognition. Lalo na kasama ko ang aking ‘Pamilya Sagrado.”

After that, Kyle shared a heartfelt message to his character in the hit Kapamilya series, expressing how it was through him that he found his passion for acting.

He said, “Moises truly helped me find love, passion, and purpose in the art of acting. I know god has a higher purpose for me in this lifetime other than the god given talent he’s graced me with.”

He added, “Be good and choose to love… even in that way you can make the world a better place. Thank you Moises.”

In the post’s comment section, Kyle’s friends and admirers complimented him. Other online users praised his performance in the popular series and said he deserved to win the award.

In addition to Kyle, ABS-CBN won several awards at the 21st Gawad Tanglaw Awards, including Best News Program, Best Innovative News Program, Best TV News Anchor, Gawad Natatanging Brodkaster sa Sining at Kultura ng Midya at Komunikasyon, Gawad Debbie Francisco Dianco, PhD para sa Pangmadlang Komunikasyon, and Gawad Tanglaw ng Kabataang Pilipino.
