MANILA — In Binangonan town, Rizal, a live-in partner who is regarded as a high-value drug dealer was found in possession of an estimated P11.4 million worth of drugs.

The two were taken into custody early on Monday morning following a buy-bust operation at their leased home in Barangay Mambog, according to the police.

1,676.52 grams of shabu in clear plastic pouches were seized from them.

The two were merely foreigners in the town, according to Lt. Col. Evangeline Santos, chief of the Binangonan police; one of them had been detained three times for charges related to drugs elsewhere.

Authorities seized illegal drugs valued at approximately P11 million during an anti-narcotics operation in Binangonan, Rizal, police officials reported on Tuesday.

According to the Philippine National Police–Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG), the confiscated items included several kilograms of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) discovered during a buy-bust operation conducted in a residential area of the town.

The suspect, whose identity was withheld pending further investigation, was arrested after allegedly selling illegal drugs to an undercover operative. Law enforcers recovered multiple heat-sealed plastic packs containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu, along with marked money used in the operation.

Authorities said the suspect is believed to be part of a larger drug distribution network operating in Rizal and nearby areas. Follow-up operations are underway to identify other individuals involved.

The confiscated drugs were sent to a forensic laboratory for chemical analysis, while the suspect was brought to the local police station for documentation and inquest proceedings.

The suspect will face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which carries severe penalties, including life imprisonment.

Police officials urged the public to continue cooperating with authorities by reporting suspicious activities in their communities.

“Public cooperation plays a crucial role in keeping our neighborhoods safe from illegal drugs,” the police said.
