As he approaches his 15th year in the entertainment industry, Alden Richards talked about one of his greatest anxieties.

The actor acknowledged that he has recently begun to worry about growing old alone. “Siguro my fear is… I might grow old alone. Ngayon lang siya dumating,” he stated in a 24 Oras interview.

He elaborated: “Minsan kasi, wala talaga akong pakialam sa sarili ko eh, mas kumbaga parang ‘yung mga importante muna. So ‘yun lang, parang ngayon lang siya dumating sa akin. Just now and I said it. That’s my fear [that] I might grow old alone, and I don’t want that to happen.”

Despite the fear, Alden stays hopeful that life will provide him what he deserves. “Sa buhay naman parang we all get what we deserve. You reap what you sow,” he said.

Alden recently enrolled in a Pampanga aviation school with the goal of becoming a pilot. Alden posted pictures from his first day at Alpha Aviation Group on social media in July.

Alden stated in a previous interview that he has always had an interest in the world of aviation.

Alden also disclosed that he is pursuing aviation school as a means of realizing a dream that his father once had. “Since nagkaroon ako ng isip sa mundo parang meron akong core objective to fulfill my parents’ dreams na hindi nila natupad in their lifetime. And surprisingly, kagaya ng showbiz para sa nanay ko, for me, ito naman dream ni dad for himself, eventually nagustuhan ko na rin,” the actor said.

Alden is certain that he can manage his time well enough to match his demanding showbiz schedule with aviation school.

“There’s no such thing as a busy schedule when you make time and you have time management. Time management is the key. Definitely this year for ground school and then tuluoy-tuloy na ‘to. This will be a two-year course and after I graduate, I’m gonna be able to fly a commercial plane,” he said.
