Yesterday afternoon at 4:55, a distressing incident unfolded as Attorney Maria Saniata Liliwa Gonzales Alzate came under attack while seated inside her parked vehicle in front of her residence in Bangued, Abra. Startlingly, surveillance footage captured the moment when an unidentified man on foot approached the vehicle and opened fire on the lawyer, who remained inside her car.
CCTV footage reveals a harrowing sequence of events: initially, a man on foot approached Attorney Alzate’s vehicle while she was still inside, firing shots at her. Subsequently, a motorcycle arrived at the scene, and the passenger handed a firearm to the driver, who also opened fire on the victim.
Shockingly, it is believed that the lawyer endured approximately eight gunshot wounds in this brutal attack. Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to the hospital, Attorney Alzate tragically succumbed to her injuries at precisely 5:05 yesterday afternoon, leaving behind a community in shock and mourning.
According to Captain Ronaldo Eslabra, the Public Information Office Chief of the Abra Police Provincial Office, the police are already conducting hot pursuit operations against the two suspects.
