Good News for government employees because the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) recently announces that they shall be expected to receive their 13th month, cash gift and bonuses this week. This is confirmed by the DBM Secretary Butch Abad.
According to Budget Circular 2010-1, every government employee will be entitled to a yearend bonus and a cash gift amounting to 5,000 php.
After the release of the budget, they will receive the said benefits immediately.
Secretary Abad noted they notice the hard work of every employee but the problem is that there hard work is not equally compensated, but this time there effort will not be in vain wherein the above officials of the government sector see’s this sacrifice to have a proper recognition by giving additional cash gifts and bonus intended for the upcoming yuletide season especially on celebrating Christmas and New Year.
Abad added that Government Owned & Controlled Corporation (GOCC’s) and Government Financial Institutions (GFI’s) bonuses source will be on their own corporate funds, while the Local Government Unit (LGU’s) will be gotten to their Local Unit Funds.
Meanwhile regarding those employees under the private sector will be expected to receive their 13th month pay on or before December 14 to avoid rush as per advice by the Department of Labor & Employment.
