The circulating rumors about Barbie and Richard gained traction during the actor’s recent breakup with Sarah Lahbati. The two were captured in a photograph at a bar, sparking allegations that they arrived at the venue together.

Subsequently, Barbie faced online criticism, accused of being “malandi” (flirtatious), as some netizens speculated on the validity of the rumors.

In a recent episode of his YouTube talk show, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz disclosed insights from his source regarding the Barbie Imperial-Richard Gutierrez issue.

Ogie clarified that Barbie Imperial holds shares in Tipsy Pig Bar, located in both Quezon City and Alabang. As one of the owners, there are occasions when she entertains guests, particularly celebrities who frequent their establishment.

The talent manager-vlogger revealed that coincidentally, Richard happens to be friends with all the owners of the bar. Ogie explained that during that particular moment, Richard was table-hopping to socialize with his friends.

“So, noong naupo siya kay Barbie, nakunan ng picture,” he said. 

Ogie further emphasized that anyone, regardless of gender, who becomes entangled in a separation and finds themselves in such a scenario, would inevitably be drawn into the controversy.

The talent manager-vlogger mentioned that, according to his source, Richard sat next to Barbie for only a brief period, but during those few minutes, cameras had already captured the scene. Ogie clarified that those taking photos were unaware of an ongoing celebration, and after that, Barbie headed to Poblacion, while Richard was not present.

Ogie revealed that the actor later went home on his motorcycle. Responding to Mama Loi’s inquiry about the allegation that Barbie Imperial and Richard Gutierrez arrived together at the bar and that the actor assisted the actress in the restroom, Ogie Diaz explained that given the breakup issue, people are bound to connect the two celebrities.
