Actor Ricardo Cepeda was arrested in Caloocan City on October 7, 2023, marking one week since his detention. He faces charges in a case involving 23 counts of syndicated estafa, as per an arrest warrant issued by Judge Gemma Bucayo-Madrid from the Regional Trial Court Branch 12 of Sanchez Mira, Cagayan.

As of now, Ricardo is incarcerated at Camp Karingal in Quezon City. Sen. Robin Padilla with his fellow artists visits Ricardo Cepeda at Camp Karingal. During an interview, Ricardo asserted his innocence in the face of the charges brought against him. He emphasized that he merely served as the model for the product in question, but he was the one who pursued the case.

In Ricardo’s defense, his friends have spoken out, contending that the actor is a good person and asserting that he has been “wrongfully accused.”

Even one week after his arrest, Ricardo remains detained at Camp Karingal, and the unwavering support of his friends continues to pour in.
