The inter-agency task force on COVID-19 allows kids 5 years old and above to go outdoors in areas under MGCQ and GCQ, except those with heightened restrictions, says Malacañang spokesman Harry Roque.

Roque says these outdoor areas shall be limited to parks, playgrounds, beaches, biking, and hiking trails, outdoor tourist sites & attractions identified by the tourism dept, outdoor non-contact sports courts & venues, and al-fresco dining establishments.

Roque: In addition, children must be supervised by adults and observe minimum public health standards, such as wearing face masks and social distancing.

Roque: The local government units (LGUs) may increase the above age restriction of children depending on the COVID-19 situation in their respective jurisdictions.

Meanwhile, The Department of Health, the Bureau of Quarantine, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Transportation and its One-Stop-Shop, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Department of Tourism shall form part of the SWG.

The IATF has also allowed special commercial flights for stranded Filipinos from Oman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other countries subject to travel restrictions.
