Jennica Garcia and Alwyn Uytingco have separated after more than six years of marriage. The actress confirmed in an exclusive interview with GMA Entertainment.

Jennica admits that it was financial problems, which compelled her to return to showbiz.

“That’s the most that I could say right now. That’s the most that I can say now. It’s the reason din kasi talaga kung bakit kinailangan [ko] bumalik sa pag-a-artista. From a family-of-four, we are now just a family-of-three, sacrifices must really be made.”

“For the past seven to eight years, what I did was, I made this decision to really focus on my kids, and to do that, hindi talaga ako puwede gumawa ng teleserye kasi three times a week ang taping noon (For the past seven to eight years, what I did was, I made this decision to really focus on my kids, and to do that, I really couldn’t do television series because taping was thrice a week),” the actress said.

Alwyn and Jennica were married in 2014. They were blessed with two children.

That same year, Jennica was first seen on ABS-CBN through the legal drama “Ipaglaban Mo.”

It was also seen in series such as “Magpahanggang Wakas,” “Wildflower,” at “Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit.
