The 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Rodrigo Duterte will be held today at Batasang Pambansa. 50 people will be attending the SONA and due to this event, they will be undergoing COVID-19 testing before attending the SONA.

House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, House Deputy Speaker Johnny Pimentel, and the staffers of Congress and the technical personnel from the Office of the President have undergone the COVID-19 testing.

It was later on revealed that Deputy Speaker Johnny Pimentel tested positive for COVID-19 as well as the 25 staffers of the Congress and the Office of the President.

The President have also undergone the COVID-19 test in which his result came out to be negative.
