Stand-up-comedian, Kim Idol was found unconscious at the Philippine Arena earlier at dawn, July 9. He was rushed in Manila Central University Hospital, Caloocan City and is in a critical condition.

According to his mother, Maria Argente, he had a brain arteriovenous malformation or (AVM). According to stroke.org, AVM is when a tangle of blood vessels in the brain bypasses normal brain tissue and directly diverts blood from the arteries to the veins.

The 41-year old comedian served as a marshal of the Bureau of Quarantine in Philippine Arena that was made as a COVID-19 facility for the coronavirus patients since May 10.

He also brought laughter and entertainment for people in the facility by performing in front of them through singing and telling jokes.

“Please pray for my son Kim Idol for fast recovery. I love you so much anak.

“Sa mga nakakakilala kay Kim Idol, patuloy tayong manalangin para sa kanya.

“Sinuong n’ya ang kanyang buhay para sa nangangailangan ng tulong bilang frontline.

“Hindi siya nahawa, yung AVM (brain arteriovenous malformation), yun ang naging dahilan napagod at napuyat marahil.” his mother stated.
