Viral now is a tweet from Senator Tito Sotto.

On May 11, the ABS-CBN franchise issue was brought to the senate to encourage the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to take back their order of shutting ABS-CBN down.

13 senators voted in favor of the resolution and 9 senators abstained. Tito Sotto is one of the senators who voted abstain.

Including Pia Cayetano, Panfilo Lacson, Francis Tolentino, Cynthia Villar, Imee Marcos, Bato Dela Rosa, Bong Go and Bong Revilla Jr.

Most of those who abstained are in favor of President Duterte. The senate stated that those who remained abstain said that it is all up to the Supreme Court to decide.

Netizens were disappointed of Senator Tito Sotto’s tweet back in May 5. He said, “ABS Franchise, bring it to the Senate, we will approve it!” and yet he abstained.

He was also compared to his nephew, Vico Sotto saying that “You will never be like your pamangkin.”

Other netizens also commented saying that he is the greatest prankster and “Tito Sotto dropping jokes after jokes. A true comedian.”
