The Supreme Court (SC) announces the official results of the November 2019 bar exam sometime in April-May 2020 or in five (5) months. The full list of passers with O-P-Q-R surname is available on this page as announced online.

According to the Sources, SC Associate Justice Estela M. Perlas-Bernabe, head of the 2019 Bar Examinations Committee will officially announce the Bar Exam results for November 2019 Soon.

Examination Coverage: The 2019 bar exam was headed by Committee Chairperson is SC Associate Justice Estela M. Perlas-Bernabe and the sixteen (16) examiners for all bar subjects. The two-examiner policy per subject was re-adopted “in order to promote operational efficiency in light of the notable increase in the number of admitted candidates in recent years.”

The examinable subjects are Political Law and Public International Law (15%), Labor and Social Legislation (10%), Civil Law (15%), Taxation (10%), Mercantile Law (15%), Criminal Law (10%), Remedial Law (20%) and Legal and Judicial Ethics (5%).

The type of examination given by the administration is a full essay from which the examinees are required to answer in full essay writings within the scope of one (1) month duration exam time. The Bar Exam is considered the hardest examination ever taken in the country.

MECHANICS OF CHECKING

For the information of everyone, the checking of the Bar Exam is done manually by the Office of Confidant. Few days prior to the official announcement and publication of result the SC will be conducting a special “en banc” session to decode the Bar Exam results. The decoding process is done by way of opening sealed envelopes containing the names of successful examinees.
