A racist student mauled a foreign classmate and told him ‘I don’t want your coronavirus in my country’.
The name of the Singaporean student is Jonathan Mok. He was battered by three to four men and woman racist students. He was beaten on the ground until his face exploded along Oxford Street.
It all started when Jonathan talked about Coronavirus disease in 2019. On of the student says, said ‘Don’t you dare look at me’ and without further reasons, he suddenly punched him at the face.
Some people who are passing by tried to stop the group of racist from beating Jonathan but their friend tried to swing a kick towards Jonathan. The victim is trying to defend himself but ends up with a broken finger.
Jonathan said, ‘The guy who tried to kick me then said, “I don’t want your coronavirus in my country”, before swinging another sucker punch at me, which resulted in my face exploding with blood (from my nose), where the blood was splattered all across the pavement.’
The 23-year old student is the recent victim of racist attacks in Asia due to coronavirus. The medical experts said that he may go medical surgery after suffering fractures in his face.
