Mayor Joy Belmonte of Quezon City Confirms Coronavirus in the City

The Mayor of Quezon City Joy Belmonte has confirmed that there is a case of coronavirus in their city.

The Philippines is still struggling to fight for the disease that is called COVID-19 or the novel coronavirus.

Recalling, there are 3 Chinese nationals that are tested as positive for the coronavirus that is first discovered in Wuhan, China.

One of the positive in the said disease is a 44-year-old man who has died because of the disease. That is considered one of the first people who died due to coronavirus outside China.

The other two infected have recovered from the disease.

Last week, two new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Philippines. Both patients are Filipinos with one having no travel history. The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed a case of local transmission with the 5th coronavirus patient.

Also, the wife of the patient was also positive for coronavirus. On Sunday, another four people was tested positive for COVID-19. Which makes it a total of 10 people who are infected here in the Philippines.

The Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte also confirmed that there is a case of coronavirus in the city-based in DZBB Super Radyo. As of this writing, no further details were given yet.
