The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) and NDRRMC announce a 4.6 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Tulunan (Cotabato) on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, around 09:37:59 AM.

The location is 06.80°N, 125.05°E – 025 km S 78° E of Tulunan (Cotabato) and the Depth of Focus (KM) is 003 with the Origin “Tectonic.”

PHIVOLCS is the service institute of the DOST for monitoring and mitigation of volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and tsunami.

Instrumental Intensities:

Intensity III- Malungon, Sarangani
Intensity I- Alabel, Sarangani; Tupi, South Cotabato

According to Phivolcs, “We cannot predict when or where an earthquake will happen. There is no reliable technology in the world that can confidently predict the date, time and location of large earthquakes. Please avoid sharing any messages that could cause panic and fear.”
